We Defend EU – Diaspora / Commercial Division
Precise drafting.
A defined brief.
Additional drafting capacity for instructing arbitration and disputes teams. Agree the issue, source record, expected output and review responsibility before work begins.
01 / The commercial question
Draft materials that fit the team’s strategy.
A drafting assignment works best when the factual propositions, legal questions and procedural purpose are clear. We support legal teams with defined materials for their review, rather than assuming control of the wider matter.
Suitable workstreams can include research notes, draft submission sections, procedural application materials, chronologies and evidence references. The instructing firm sets the mandate and retains responsibility for its strategic decisions, final approval and filing arrangements unless a different lawful role is expressly agreed.
02 / Defined workstreams
A focused scope.
Useful deliverables.
Scope and source materials
Confirm the issue, applicable framework, document set, length, format and deadline. Identify the points that require instructions before drafting can proceed.
Research and structure
Develop an argument outline and research the agreed questions. Distinguish primary authorities, factual propositions, assumptions and points requiring further verification.
Draft and references
Prepare the agreed draft with usable headings, record references and a clear treatment of competing positions. Flag gaps rather than fill them with unsupported assertions.
Review and handover
Deliver the agreed version and a concise list of outstanding questions. Set the number and timing of revisions, reviewer responsibilities and confidentiality arrangements in advance.
What the assignment can deliver
The output is the specifically commissioned research or draft material. Final advice, signing, submission, attendance and representation are included only where separately agreed and appropriate to the forum.
03 / Engagement
Assessment.
Briefing. Proposal.
Send the brief
State the workstream, jurisdiction or seat, procedural stage, document volume and delivery date.
Confirm responsibility
Complete suitability and conflicts checks and agree review, secure document transfer and fees.
Receive the draft
Work to the agreed delivery and revision schedule with the instructing team.
Suitable enquiries are invited to a private, no-charge 20-minute corporate briefing. Substantive work begins only after scope, responsibility and fees are agreed.
Can you draft only part of a submission?
Yes. A focused section, discrete research point or defined procedural material can be agreed without transferring the whole case.
Will you file the document with the tribunal?
Filing is not included by default. Responsibility for final review, signature and submission is identified expressly in the engagement.
Your next step
Bring the decision
into focus.
Tell us your organisation, the jurisdictions involved, your commercial objective and any urgent date. We will review suitability before inviting you to a corporate briefing.
Please use a brief overview at this stage. Document-transfer arrangements and any engagement are confirmed separately.
