Private clients & businesses / Tax planning
Cross-border plans.
Clearer tax questions.
Moving, working, investing or operating across borders can create overlapping tax and legal obligations. Our approach to tax optimisation starts with lawful planning, accurate facts and the qualified advisers needed for each jurisdiction.
Establish the position before choosing a structure
We help define the relevant countries, personal or business activities, ownership arrangements, sources of income and timing of a proposed change. Residence, reporting and potential double-taxation issues require country-specific analysis. A structure that appears efficient in one country may create obligations elsewhere.
Coordinate the legal and tax workstreams
An agreed brief can bring together legal structuring, review of relevant agreements and coordination with qualified tax advisers. For businesses, this may sit alongside market-entry, employment or contractual arrangements. For individuals, it may concern relocation, ownership and succession planning. The responsible advisers, deliverables and implementation steps are confirmed in writing.
Prepare a useful initial brief
Describe your current and intended countries of residence or operation, the transaction or change being considered, the principal assets or activities and any filing dates. Start with a high-level summary; sensitive financial records should be shared only through an agreed process. We do not promise a particular saving or a tax-authority outcome.

Before you book
Your questions, considered.
What does tax optimisation mean here?
Lawful, documented planning that takes account of applicable obligations. It does not mean concealing assets, omitting disclosures or promoting an artificial arrangement as guaranteed to succeed.
Can a treaty remove all double taxation?
Relief depends on the taxes, countries, treaty provisions and facts involved. A treaty should not be assumed to eliminate every liability or reporting requirement.
How do businesses begin?
Use the commercial assessment form with the countries and objective. Suitable enquiries are reviewed before an invitation to a private briefing and a separately scoped proposal. Individual clients can start with a consultation.
